　　主旨大意题在2018年共出了两道题，两道都是让我们选择最适当的标题(best title)，分别是第30题和第40题，分别是第二篇文章，和第四篇文章的最后一题，内容如下所示：

　　既然它们的位置是文章最后一题，那么我们是不是要最后才来解我们的主旨大意题呢?当然不是!因为我们考研阅读的文章前两段往往都是文章中心思想(即文章主旨)的出处，所以从解题顺序来看，主旨大意题是可以优先做的。那么既然解题顺序确定，该怎么解题呢?下面我们就来破解主旨大意的奥秘。

　　正如我们刚才说的，文章的中心思想往往出现在文章的前两段内容。但是这个范围还是太大，为了进一步缩小范围，我们可以根据考频，着重看前两段的这几部分：首段转折，首段首句，二段首句。其中优先看转折，其次看首句，如果都不能帮助我们对应，再看第二段首句。下面我们将呈现第四篇文章(Text Four)的前两段内容：

　　The U.S. Postal Service continues to bleed red ink. The USPS reported a net loss of $5.6 billion for fiscal 2016, the 10th straight year its expenses have exceeded revenue. Meanwhile, the Postal Service has more than $120 billion in unfunded liabilities, mostly for employee health and retirement costs. There are many reasons this formerly stable federal institution finds itself at the brink of insolvency. Fundamentally, the USPS is in a historic squeeze between technological change that has permanently decreased demand for its bread-and-butter product, first-class mail, and a regulatory structure that denies management the flexibility to adjust its operations to the new reality.

　　And interest groups ranging from postal unions to greeting-card makers exert self-interested pressure on the USPS’s ultimate overseer--- Congress --- insisting that whatever else happens to the Postal Service, aspects of the status quo they depend on get protected. This is why repeated attempts at reform legislation have failed in recent years, leaving the Postal Service unable to pay its bills except by deferring vital modernization.
